Where on MSFT campus did Mindcraft do its work?

A usenet poster has discovered that a Mindcraft E-Mail originated from within Microsoft's network...

Subject: Where on MSFT campus did Mindcraft do its work?

Mindcraft claims to have asked for performance tuning help on Usenet and claims there was no response. To my knowledge, they haven't given any pointers to their original question, but somebody noticed that this one matched the setup they used:

http://www.dejanews.com/[ST_rn=ps]/getdoc.xp?AN=453662097

(You can use dejanews to see that there was a same-day response to this question which provided some useful hints and asked for more information. No response to this response was posted.)

The original question was posted via dejanews from the following client. Check the message headers if you want to verify this.

 Desired host: 131.107.3.71
Official name: tide71.microsoft.com

A traceroute to this address goes to Seattle, then into Microsoft. The last traceable host is iusdinetdc7505-f0-00.taps.msft.net (131.107.34.5).

As if it wasn't clear enough already, this shows they had better access to Microsoft help than the average sysadmin. Can anybody tell from this information exactly where on the Redmond campus this "independent" researcher was operating?
