"With Halloween just around the corner, who
better to hook up with than esr, the man who
unmasked the masters of FUD? We put a few
questions to the preeminent Open Source
analyst/advocate by email. His replies appear
below.
"Skepticism about Open Source is usually
thought of as a suit thing. Have you
encountered much skepticism among
developers - whether about practical
aspects of Open Source development, its
overall economic viability, or their own
ability to make a living at it?
"Occasionally I do run into such skepticism. Far
more often, however, I'm told that my advocacy
of open source gives voice to deep misgivings
the speaker has long held about closed-source
development but has been unable to articulate
himself."
